I’m Hannelore Volckaert. I started my coaching activities 18 years ago with guiding adolescents who are in need of special care and their foster parents. I also guided teachers and students at school. To further professionalize my work, I became a solution focus cognitive therapist at the Korzybski Institute in Bruges. Last year I published together with a colleague a book about working in a solution focused way with people with autism. The book is currently being translated into English.
My experience goes way beyond this. As a previous managing director of an organisation for adult education and after that as a freelance trainer and coach, I managed different kinds of trainings and facilitated group programs. Besides this I have my own practice for coaching and therapy for individuals and families. In coaching of professionals in their professional choices and options I take this one step further.
People who work with me, mostly appreciate my enthusiasm and my ability to listen and the way in which I establish a connection with them. With clear communication and a sense of humor I make sure people feel comfortable when we work on touchy topics. In the coaching and interventions that I do, I always work in an appreciative manner starting with the strengths of people. This is what connects me as a freelance coach with Make me Fly!.
